Description of the flag

Manhattan, Kansas is in the market for a new flag. However, the flag that may be replaced is different than the one pictured on FOTW from 2009: http://themercury.com/news/city/. It is white with a narrow purple edge, and the white field edged by a green-white trim. In the center is a brown symbol.

The seven finalists for the new Manhattan flag are pictured in this article.

Former flag

The former flag of the City of Manhattan, Kansas, was white with city logo on it. The logo consists of a red apple, and words "CITY OF" in black, "MANHATTAN" in green and "KANSAS" in red. The logo is bordered with two lines - I would say green and brown. You can see the flag on this PDF: www.ci.manhattan.ks.us/DocumentView.aspx?DID=4161. Link located by Aleksandar Nemet.
